Our Teachers

Music Together® teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Very young children learn best through PLAY, so our teachers are specially trained to create a fun, informal, non-performance atmosphere that engages both children and adults, supports each child's musical development and allows adults to relax as they play musically with their children.

We introduce children to the joys of MAKING music instead of passively receiving it from CD's or television.

After completing her intensive Music Together training in 2000, Eileen taught at the lab school in Princeton, NJ and at its satellite studios, where she continued her training with the creators of Music Together until 2005, when she moved to Dutchess County. She is pleased to be opening her own center here and looks forward to sharing her love of music, sense of humor and this wonderful program.

While living in NYC, Eileen's musical theatre career included European tours, national tours and over forty regional productions, performing with Barry Williams, Joanne Worley, Eddie Mekka, Ben Vereen, Maximillian Schell, and others. For her 1997 cabaret show, she won the New York City Back Stage Bistro Award.

She was recently awarded Certification I from The Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton for excellence in music, teaching, program philosophy and parent education. She is a founder of the Standing Room Only Theater Company in Beekman, is in a professional a cappella group and does children's birthday parties. She holds a B.A. from Gettysburg College and is the proud mother of two musical daughters, Kirby, age 8 and Kerry, age 5.
